Bi-Steel's new premium paint finish impresses vehicle barrier customers
17 Nov 2008
A new, high quality paint finish, especially formulated for application to Bi-Steel anti-attack vehicle barriers is now available from Corus.
The Premium paint finish took around 12 months to formulate, with Corus engineers and technicians from specialist coating company Emtrade International (www.emtrade.co.uk) working together to achieve the special finish. This is not only tough and durable but gives a highly polished look, similar to that found on high specification cars.
Bi-Steel barriers are blast and impact resistant and are used to protect against vehicle bomb attack. They are installed at several high profile locations in the UK and are used on a temporary basis at important events such as party political conferences, demonstrations and major sports events. The barriers have been specially developed to meet the performance standards of PAS 68: 2007, the UK classification system for these types of vehicle security barriers. As they are positioned at prestigious locations, and seen at important events, it is vital that the barriers look attractive, and are highly durable.
According to Dr Jurek Tolloczko, General Manager, Corus Bi-Steel, “We are very pleased with what we have achieved working with Emtrade for the past year. The finish provided is excellent and we have been impressed by the company’s rapid response and its professional approach. Our customers are looking for the highest levels of product excellence and Emtrade is helping us to deliver this.”
