Bi-Steel to exhibit at two major industry exhibitions in Spring 2010
15 Dec 2009
Corus Bi-Steel will be exhibiting at two major security industry events in the Spring of 2010.
In March we will be taking a stand at the Home Office Scientific Development Branch (HOSDB) 2010 exhibition which will be held for the first time ever at Farnborough. This year the event will be extended to 3 days, 16-18 March.
The new location has enabled the organisers, A|DS|, to provide additional exhibition space – 50% more than was available at the 2008 show - and the event will be host to a substantially greater number of exhibitors than was the case in previous years. Visitor numbers are also expected to increase substantially due to the enhanced number of exhibiting companies and the convenience of the Farnborough location.
Another item of news for the 2010 event is that the show will be partnered for the first time by UK Trade and Investment Defence and Security Organisation (UKTI DSO). This will bring additional visitors to the event, including many more from overseas.
Bi-Steel will be exhibiting on Stand A35. For more information on the event (to which entry criteria is limited to employees or agents of police, government security, law enforcement agencies, plus military and some select providers of Critical National Infrastructure) contact Chris Higgins on 01428 602630 or visit http://scienceandresearch.homeoffice.gov.uk/hosdb/
Bi-Steel will also be exhibiting at Counter Terror Expo 2010, to be held at London Olympia, 14/15 April 2010. This exhibition is one of the UK’s premier security events and is focused on enabling organisations wishing to enhance their protection against terrorist attack to see the latest solutions from a wide range of specialist providers.
Over 250 suppliers will be exhibiting at the show and product areas will include blast protection, vehicle security barrier systems, access control, perimeter security and intrusion detection, CCTC/Covert Surveillance Systems and CBRN Detection and Protection.
Running alongside the exhibition is the event Conference, and a series of free-to-attend workshops, where industry experts will be providing updates on current ways to prepare for, and defend against, terrorist attack. Bi-Steel’s Operations Director, Dr Jurek Tolloczko, an industry expert in blast protection, will be giving a presentation on how existing structures, and new build, can best be protected against terrorist attack involving the use of explosive devices. His session is entitled ‘Protective Construction: Where, when and how?’ and it will take place in the exhibition venue at 11.25 am on 14 April.
On Stand G20 at Counter Terror Expo, Corus will be showing how its unique Bi-Steel material is used to provide blast protection for buildings and to create high performance security barriers to protect from attack by vehicle borne improvised explosive devices.
